The Evil that We Do

A journey into the tragedy of Criminal Exploitation

Your opportunity to become involved in this production!

'The Evil that We Do' is a feature length piece of musical theatre that takes the audience into the reality of lives blighted by the criminal exploitation of County Lines drug dealing.

The narrative presents a love triangle between three central characters - the shy and introverted Cara, the extroverted and naive Jack, and the thoughtful and compassionate Aiden - as they are drawn deeper into a world that they cannot possibly control and not all of them will survive.

Featuring the writing talents of Natalia Huckle in her first published presentation, along side Phil Priestley, this compelling and honest dramatisation in based in realism and in the facts of the subject matter. 'The Evil that We Do' will entertain and move as it educates and illuminates the audience on a vital subject that influences the mental and physical wellbeing of children and young people across the United Kingdom.

The National Crime Agency believe that more than 20,000 young people have become ensnared in the brutal and exploitative world of organised crime known as 'County Lines' - a phenomenon that generates hundreds of millions of pounds in revenue for criminal gangs annually.

The production team are currently seeking talented young musicians to collaborate on key musical pieces and interludes to help complete the overall presentation.

If you are a young, gifted musician - a writer and/or composer - we have an incredible project for you to showcase your talents through. Why not watch our promotional competition video here to find out more?

If this opportunity excites your creative spirit - complete this contact form to receive a full copy of the entry pack that includes a script, notes on the text, and helps you to understand that exact requirements of the musical pieces that we are seeking.
